Home Videos & Movies to Digital & DVD.
Home Videos to Digital Files:
Our unique "Direct to Digital" process allows us to provide the highest quality video transfers available. Each part of our process has been specifically designed to provide the best quality. Once your video has been converted to digital, we go through and remove any blank or bad video. You only pay for the actual video on each tape or disc. The transfer price is 35¢ per minute. The minimum charge per tape or disc is $10 and the maximum for a 2 hour tape or disc is $25. After your tapes are converted to digital we can save them on a flash drive or a hard drive.
We can transfer from the following video formats: VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, 8mm, Hi 8mm, Digital 8mm, Mini DV, DVD, Mini-DVD, Beta and ¾” Umatic.
Home Videos to DVD:
If you want your home videos on DVD, we first convert them to digital using the same "Direct to Digital" process and also remove any blank or bad video. Then, we use the same technique that Hollywood professionals use to convert your videos to DVD (2 pass VBR). This 3 step process obviously takes longer, but the final result is the sharpest, brightest, most colorful DVD possible from your home videos.
Finally, we give your home videos that professional “Hollywood” look. Each DVD includes a custom title and opening menu. We also provide a custom DVD cover and case. Each DVD can hold up to 2 hours of video. You may combine up to 3 tapes to fill a 2 hour DVD.
Digital Files or DVD, Which is The Best?
In the beginning, it made sense to convert home videos to DVD as that was the easiest way for our customers to watch their movies. Now, since most people don't have a DVD player, we usually recommend that they convert their videos to digital files.
